Some shapers are born with their feet in the sand, while others invent their own destiny. Jeff McCallum falls into the latter category. Unlike most Californian shapers, he didn't grow up by the ocean, but in Denver, Colorado, a long way from the waves. However, at the age of 18, he headed for San Diego for his studies and discovered a world that was to catch his eye: that of surfing and artisanal shaping.
